The Canon EF135mm lens has been a favorite among photographers for over 25 years, and this RF version builds on that legacy by using a totally new optical design the latest optics and features to truly bring it into the future. The optical quality of this lens is impressive with 17 elements in 12 groups, including three UD glass elements and Air Sphere Coating (ASC) to reduce chromatic aberration and ghosting. The bright f/1.8 aperture also does wonders for your images. Not only can you achieve beautiful, soft backgrounds, it transforms your ability to shoot telephoto images or video at low light levels. The RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM also comes with built-in Optical Image Stabilization (not previously seen on a Canon 135mm lens) to further enhance your low-light shooting abilities by providing up to 5.5 stops* of optical shake correction, and up to 8 stops* with Coordinated IS. Two programmable lens function buttons on the top and side of the lens barrel allow instant access to temporarily lock Servo AF, or a multitude of other possible camera features.
