RF & RF-S LENS
Canon RF and RF-S lenses are lenses designed specifically for use with Canon's mirrorless cameras that feature the RF mount. RF lenses are compatible with full-frame Canon mirrorless cameras, while RF-S lenses are designed for use with Canon's APS-C mirrorless cameras.
RF lenses feature a new mount design that allows for larger rear elements and closer placement to the image sensor, which improves optical performance and autofocus speed. They also incorporate Canon's advanced lens technologies, such as the Air Sphere Coating (ASC) and Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) optics, which help to reduce flare and chromatic aberration.
RF-S lenses are designed to be more compact and lightweight than RF lenses, and are optimized for use with the smaller image sensor found in Canon's APS-C mirrorless cameras. They still feature high-quality optics and advanced features, but are designed to be a more affordable option for APS-C users.
Both RF and RF-S lenses feature a variety of focal lengths, including ultra-wide angle, standard, telephoto, and macro, as well as a range of apertures and image stabilization options. Canon also offers a range of lens accessories, such as lens hoods, filters, and converters, to further enhance the capabilities of their RF and RF-S lenses.
